The main reason I choose this center was b/c it took both of my insurances. After speaking with the receptionist over the phone I knew that I had picked a good one. She was very kind and easy to work with. They do not lie when they say you will be waiting for awhile, it is necessary and I wouldn’t change it. The medicine helped me relax. I didn’t talk to the Dr. Much be he did seem nice as well. I really did not have much to ask him any ways as the nurses had done an excellent job answering all the questions I had. I didn’t feel a thing thru the process and felt confident in my decision for what I was there to do and the center I choose. THANK YOU Ladies and DR. for being there and helping us with this. You truly are a blessing and provide a much needed service.
First off this place was clean and cheaper than other centers. Second the people were polite and explained the process and allowed me to feel comfortable. I would send a friend or family member here cuz they are nice and professional.
The staff was very nice and procedure as painless. The wait time was about 3 hours but it was not all that bad. I came here because a family member told me about the place. They take medicaid so it was all covered.
My boyfriend looked up this place on the internet and they seemed to have a lot of information about the entire process and they took my insurance. When I got here everyone was nice and I did not feel like anyone was judging me.
I went here a week ago and it was the best experience I have ever had, the staff is very friendly. This is my 2nd one in 8 years and I didnt think I would have to go through it again but financial situation made both me and my partner decide it wasnt the right time. I do NOT remember anything about the procedure last thing I remember was closing my eyes then waking up getting into a wheelchair being transported to the recovery room. I was there for 5hrs so yes it is an all day thing, but nobody makes you feel uncomfortable. They have 2 waiting rooms one is closed off a little more private than the other. Yes they do take MD medical asst. I would recommend this place to any of my friends if they are ever in this situation. Thankyou for being so kind and wonderful
Everyone was really nice. I came here because they have twilight sedation and I actually was asleep for the procedure. I woke up and was taken to recovery where they took care of me until I was fully awake and ready to go home.
I was prepared for my procedure because I knew I could not support another child. I picked gynemed because the place seemed comfortable. I was aware of the wait time and it did not seem like it was that long of a wait when I got here. The front desk has knowledgeable and helpful people to answer any questions.
Very professional and caring staff. Everyone was very nice and respectful of my decision. I did not feel judged at any point during my visit. I did not use the private services but was still out in less than the 4-6 hours that was quoted. I do not remember anything about the procedure, except for how friendly the doctor was before the proedure. No pain afterwards, just very sleepy until sedation wore off. I would recommend this center to anyone! Thank you all so much!
I want to thank you all for the reviews on this board. The reason I went to Gynemed was because of all of your messages and reviews. I felt comfortable when I went here because you all had a good experience.
The information on the internet was good and informative. I felt that this was a good place to get the procedure done and that I was not going to have a lot of problems.
I was recommended by Planned Parenthood in Annapolis. They said that this center performs safe abortions and they have a caring staff.
I did not know about this place until I was DENIED from Planned Parenthood. The staff at Gynemed took great care of me and I was please with the services they provided.

Our office does not open until 8:30am. All patients receive a 15 minute grace period if no phone call or voicemail is received.
Patients are scheduled based on the amount of weeks they are at the time of scheduling their appointment.
In order to be fair to our other patients we normally do not extend this 15 minute grace period as we schedule patients throughout the day. Our waiting room may not look busy when you arrived, but we schedule between 25-30 patients a day.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but there are rules that the staff have to follow, set in place by management.
I had a bad experience when I was late for an appiointment. I tried calling and the night mode was still on. Got into a big argument with a front desk person. When I got in the place hardly anyone was there and they could have seen me. I have been there before an received excellent service. Just dont be late. They will not let you be seen not matter how much you plead with them.
Your center has good references and comments. I like to know that other people trust your center and have had a positive experience there.
The physician was excellent and explained the entire abortion process before they did anything.
This is a center that I trust. They have a good staff and they look out for the patient.
When speaking with the doctor I felt more comfortable. The doctor explained the entire process and made me feel comfortable. The sedation was good because I do not remember he procedure.

I found their advertisement in the yellow book useful. I went online and I got more information on their website about abortions.
I was sedated and I experienced almost no pain afterwards. I felt like the staff at Gynemed actually cares.

My GYN recommended this abortion center. I trust my GYN and she was right, this was a good center to go to. Nice staff and friendly doctors. Thanks for making my experience as good as it could be.
The webpage was inviting and had forms and more information about abortions than other webpages. I think I saved 10-15minutes by completing the forms before my visit.
I did not know that I was pregnant for a while. When I did notice it I came in and was already 18weeks. Gynemed now sees women up to 22weeks so I could be seen here.
So I was not sure about what an abortion procedure consisted of so I looked at the gynemed.org website. They had a section for everything. I liked the FAQ page and I also found this blog area useful. Other people have left comments that helped me feel more comfortable.
Very clean center and professional staff. If a friend needs a recommendation I would send them to this abortion center.
I have to say that the process seemed to take a while. They told me on the phone 4-6 hours and it really did take just about that long. I was out in 3 and 1/2 hours. The waiting just seems long, but like the doctor said they need the time for the medications to work. So I want to tell people to expect the wait. The drugs take time to work. Hope this helps some people.
IV sedation made the process painless. They also have you come back for a follow-up to make sure that everything went ok. The follow-up was a quick visit and they also discussed methods of birth control with me.
I wanted to share my experience and let other women know that I did not feel a thing and that the entire procedure was painless. The staff explained everything before they did it and made sure that I was doing ok throughout the process. The staff is very professional and courteous. I highly recommend this center to anyone in need of abortion services.

The abortion process was not as scary as I thought it would be. I think the people in the center make it less scary by explaining the entire process.
I came to this center because they specialize in abortions. They know what they are doing and have years of experience. I feel comfortable going here.

I prefer medical abortion over surgical abortion because it allows you to do it in the privacy of your own home. The staff helped me out by explaining my options and about how long i was in my pregnancy. I was able to do the medical abortion.

The price for a medical abortion was not bad with the help of insurance. I filled out my forms before my visit so that saved some time.
I was treated with respect for my whole visit. That meant a lot to me.
I felt comfortable here and I felt that everyone was helpful and patient and I felt like I could talk to them about my situation. The nurses were very helpful and understanding which made me feel good.

Gynemed seemed very confidential so I liked that. It is in a quiet area and I came and went without people judging me.
One thing the center should look into is scheduling appointments later in the afternoon. I do not know if they can, but it would have helped me out by being able to go to a 1/2 day of work then come in. Just a suggestion.

I liked the description of the center on the internet. I also liked how they described how long & how the procedure would be done. If you have questions about abortion the website has a lot of answers. I called to ask the center some questions and they were nice to deal with.

I have had some friends come to this center before. They told me it was one of the best in the area. I found the doctors and nurses to be really nice and they made me feel comfortable.
I was a little skeptical about doing it, but my partner and I previously discussed our decision for the abortion. We were both not ready to be parents. I went to Planned Parenthood and they do not offer sedation. You were the cheapest of the two referrals.
I was recommended by my OB/Gyn so I came. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The waiting time was a bit longer than I expected.
I had the private patient services and it was good. The wait time was short. I had a room to myself. It was worth the extra fee.
The doctor was willing to see me even though he was booked for the day. This was the only center that I was able to get an appointment fast, with low expenses. You all are very pleasant people. I have never had a positive experience at any other doctors office dealing with the receptionists, but here they were very kind and professional.
